Couples & Relationship Therapy

Maple Tree Counselling offers couples and relationship counselling for all types of intimate relationships including married, newly established, same-sex, non-monogamous and cross-cultural. All relationships are unique, with their own complex challenges. A trained couples therapist can help partners understand the roots of their challenges and work toward healthier ways of relating with tools and insights tailored to their unique needs.

The couple will have the opportunity for a 15-minute, no-charge pre-screen call with the therapist to share areas of concern and align on the approach. They will then work together to formulate goals and explore patterns.

Whether you’re facing ongoing conflict or simply want to strengthen your connection, therapy provides a safe space for both parties to share experiences, learn about themselves and each other and develop stronger ways of communicating and interacting. Couples often seek therapy for a range of concerns including communication difficulties, trust and infidelity, recurring arguments, intimacy, and family challenges. The process often focuses on understanding and interrupting unhelpful cycles, building emotional safety and strengthening partnerships.

In Hong Kong, our therapists who provide couples and relationship counseling are Julia Laubscher, Paul Vallis, Kari Entwisle, Nicola Shannon and, online only, Simon Westcott and John Mok-Lamme. In Melbourne and Central Victoria, Simon Westcott offers in person sessions.
