Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Michelle works with adults navigating depression, anxiety and stress, shame and self-esteem, relational conflict, big life transitions, grief and loss, and other challenges.
Her clinical specialty is in empowering and supporting those who live in-between worlds—whether across cultures, countries, or identities. She works extensively with expats, immigrants, Third Culture Kids (TCKs), as well as those whose identities are often excluded, such as queer/LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent folks. Michelle helps them find clarity and strength in their unique journeys and deepen what it means to belong within oneself and one’s community.
Michelle believes that therapy is a place where one can feel safe to explore their internal story without judgement or haste. Utilizing a relational, insight-oriented, and trauma-informed approach, she helps clients identify patterns that have served them in the past, release behaviors that no longer align, and cultivate ways of being that resonate with who they want to become.
As an Indonesian who moved around several countries in Asia and spent over 10 years in the United States, Michelle cares deeply about how context and environment shape one’s sense of self. Her passion for supporting folks with layered backgrounds comes from her own journey of learning to understand, love, and grieve all the ways that her history has shaped who she is.
