Paul Vallis

Paul works with individuals and couples to examine patterns of behaviour, build emotional awareness, and shift perspectives for meaningful and lasting change. His clients include adults of all ages who originate from diverse cultural, ethnic and professional backgrounds.

Paul uses a collaborative therapeutic approach with an emphasis on building authentic connections. His areas of focus include anxiety, depression, anger, stress, low self-worth, alcohol dependency, relationship difficulties and recovery from past challenges. His clients range from young professionals seeking techniques to manage their anxiety to perform at the highest levels to more seasoned executives seeking insight and skills to manage their personal and corporate relationships.

Paul also has a passion and expertise in couples counselling, helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, manage conflict, address intimacy concerns, navigate differing values or expectations, and recover from infidelity using practical, research-backed strategies proven to strengthen relationships.

Originally trained in psychology with a focus on leadership assessment and development, Paul spent the early part of his career designing and delivering executive coaching and leadership training for senior managers in Asia. He transitioned into full-time counselling after completing his master’s degree in 2017. Having lived in Hong Kong since 1987, he brings both local understanding and an international perspective to his work.
